I started the Poetry Challenge off strong, and stuck with it for about the first 2.5 weeks. While I'm a bit disappointed I didn't make it all the way through, I'm still happy that I ended the month out with 19 poems since that's way more than I wrote in March.
I did start a new short story, but as you can see, I haven't gotten very far with it at all. I hit a bit of a snag right from the get-go, and I'm still sorting through that in my mind before I dive into it full-force.
A JUMP update: Obviously, I'm nowhere near to finishing the new draft as I'd hoped. But I'm okay with it going a bit slower than I had hoped. I've realized that I cannot completely ignore the internal editor while I'm drafting, so I've been editing as I go along, which is slowing things down. I'm mostly just looking and fixing plot discrepancies right now, so I'm hoping that I'll end up with a much cleaner first draft this way, and am hoping that I won't have a ton of plot editing to do before starting line edits.
